Student Transportation System

Dear Cardinal Family,

Our Transportation Department will start using a new transportation app on February 9, 2026. This new system will replace Smart Tag. It is made to help families stay informed better.

The new parent app is called MyRideK12. You can download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

MyRideK12 has these features:

  • You will get alerts when your child is scanned on and off the bus.
  • Information about bus stops and routes.

Your students' current ID badge will continue to work with the new system.

If there are any problems with scanning on or off the bus, please contact the Transportation Department at 409-735-1583.

Important reminders:

  • Students must have their ID badge to get on the bus.
  • Students without an ID in the afternoon will not be allowed to get on the bus.
  • If your student needs a new ID, they must bring $5 to the front office and tell staff they need a new badge.

If your student needs a new ID, please go to the Bridge City ISD Transportation website. There, you can fill out the Student ID Replacement Form.

If your student's pickup or drop-off address is wrong, please fill out the Update Address Form. You can also find this form on our website.
